Privacy Policy

The short version

We collect what you type into our forms so a salesperson can quote your job and follow up. We do not sell your information to anyone. You can ask us to delete it at any time by calling (606) 250-2220.

What we collect

When you fill in a form. Our quote forms, guide downloads, and contact form ask for some combination of your name, company, email address, phone number, delivery location, and the details of what you need — species, sizes, quantities, timing, and whatever you write in the notes. You choose what to put in.

Automatically. Our host records ordinary web server information such as your IP address, browser type, and which pages you visited. We also record which page a form was submitted from and, where your browser provides it, the website that sent you to us — so we know whether our own advertising is working.

What we do not collect. We do not ask for and do not want payment card numbers, Social Security numbers, or any other sensitive personal identifiers through this website. Please do not put them in a form.

Why we collect it, and who sees it

Your submission is routed by email to the Kentucky Forest Products salesperson who handles that product line, so a real person can price your job. It is also stored in our internal systems so we can find it again and so nothing falls through the cracks.

Access is limited to Kentucky Forest Products and PraXel Line Services staff who need it to do their job.

We use a small number of service providers to run the site and send our email — a website host, a database provider, and Microsoft for email delivery. They process this information on our instructions and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes. We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with other companies for their marketing.

Email we send you

If you request a quote, we email you a confirmation and a salesperson follows up. If you download one of our free guides, we email you the guide and may send a short series of follow-up messages about that product line over the following weeks.

Every one of those messages has an unsubscribe link at the bottom. Use it and we stop — no reply needed, no questions asked. Asking us for a quote also takes you off the follow-up series automatically, because at that point a person is already handling you.

Cookies and advertising

We advertise on Facebook and Instagram. To measure whether those ads actually produce quote requests, and to show our ads again to people who have visited this site, we use the Meta pixel — a small piece of code that sets cookies in your browser and tells Meta that a visit or a form submission happened. Meta acts as a separate data controller for information it receives this way; their handling of it is governed by their own privacy policy.

You can limit this. Adjust what Meta shows you in your Facebook or Instagram ad preferences, block or clear cookies in your browser settings, or use a browser that blocks trackers. None of that stops you from using this site or getting a quote from us.

The site works without any cookies you have to accept. We do not use them to build a profile of you beyond what is described here.

How long we keep it

We keep quote requests and customer records as long as we are doing business together and for a reasonable period afterward, because customers come back and history is useful. If you unsubscribe, we keep a record of your email address specifically so that we do not accidentally email you again. Ask us to delete your information and we will, apart from anything we are required to keep for tax or legal reasons.

Your choices

Call or write and we will tell you what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. We are not going to make you fill in a form to do it.

Depending on where you live you may have additional rights over your personal information. If you want to exercise them, get in touch and we will handle it.

Children

This is a website for buying and selling timber products. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.

Changes

If we change how we handle your information, we will update this page and change the date at the top. Material changes to how we use information you have already given us will be told to you directly.
